A facilitator guides the way for others to find the path that’s best for them. Denina holds space for individuals and groups to share experiences, engage in expression, and participate at their own pace. She guides evidence-based and innovative practices for healing and recovery, with specific expertise in strengths-based approaches and trauma-informed embodiment-based practices.
Family Group Decision Making
Family Group Decision Making is a strengths-based approach used in the human services and criminal justice systems to bring together those receiving services with their family members to make decisions and develop plans for their recovery and welfare. Denina is a trained Family Group Decision Making Facilitator in Pennsylvania and works with agencies and families to guide them through the process of family meetings and conferences.
Community conversations are dialogue opportunities for individuals to discuss issues, brainstorm solutions, or simply share and grow together. These conversations can be designed for targeted or diverse groups and for large or small numbers of people. Denina has expertise working in the areas of trauma healing and recovery, addiction recovery, mental health recovery, and LGBTQIA+ lived and allied experience. The format and techniques used for community conversations respects the confidentiality of the storyteller and encourages trauma-informed approaches to sharing space together.
Denina is an authorized Inside Out Facilitator. Inside Out is a 4-week body-positive child abuse prevention education program for young people and educators developed by Dr. Mary Jo Podgurski.
